The City of Cashmere, the acknowledged geographical center of Washington State, is located at the foot of the picturesque Cascade Mountains. Dominating the view to the west is Mount Cashmere, rising to 8,500 feet. To the east flows the Columbia River. There are over 300 days per year of sunshine and an average of 13 inches of precipitation per year. Summer temperatures average 50-85′, winter temperatures average 18-35′, the approximate snowfall is 50 inches December through February. Cashmere is at 800 feet above sea level on the eastern slopes of the Cascade mountains. Cashmere has eight parks: Riverside park, Cottage Avenue park, Ardeta park, Railroad park, Natatorium park, River Street park, Simpson park, and Skateboard Park. Cashmere has earned the Tree city USA designation for the last 14 years.
